Short description of OSD fields and fields properties for  version 2.60

 

OSD field field property Description
All fields    
  Black background All leters are displayed white on solid black background
  Inverted All letters are displayed  black with thin white frame
  (black background + inverted) All letters are displayed black on white solid background
  Hide min Field is hidden in when minimum layout mode is selected.
  Small font Field uses smaller font
     
Altitude (numeric)   Fields show altitude above starting point (default) or altitude avove sa level
  AMSL When selected field shows altitude above average sea level from GPS
Altitude (Framed)   Field shows airplane altitude above starting point
  Center vertically When checked field is centered vertially (aligned with left scale)
Autopilot info   Field shows actual stopilot mode
Back to home   Field shows graphical information about runway location relative to  airplane (default)
  Airplane location When checked field shows mini map (north is always UP) with base on center and symbolic airplane location and direction
Callsign   Field shows callsign (user nickname) and information about excessive accelerations/vibrations
  Once a minute When checked field shows callsign ony once a minute for 2 seconds
Compass   Field shows symbolic  airplane course and ILS control for landing
  Show digits When checked field hows additional numeric course
  Show source When checked field shows course source (‘g’ for GPS or ‘m’ for magnetometer)
  Circular When checked fields is shown in circular form
  Simple When checked field is shown in  minimnimalistic form
  ILS When checked fields shows ILS control for landing
  Airplane(ILS) When checked field shows airplane symbol at the center in ILS mode
Date & time   Field shows date and time from GPS
  Hide on air When checked date and time is shown only when airplane lays on ground
Distance   Field shows distance between airplane and base point. By default field shows distance on ground (from GPS)
  LOS(2s/6s) When checked field shows  for 2 seconds  line-of-sight distance (straight line between airplane and base, with altitude taken into account), and for 6 seconds distance on ground
Flight statisctics   Field shows flight  statistics
  Track stat When checked field shows track already travelled and track possible to travel until battery becomes empty.
  No efficiency When selected  statistics do not shows flight efficiency
  mAh/km When selected statistics shows average and current capacity (mAh) consumed to travel each km of path
  Wh/km When selected statistics shows average and current energy (Watt*hour) consumed to travel each km of path
GPS latitude   Field shows GPS latitude
GPS longitude   Field shows GPS longitude
Horizon   Field shows horizon and radar at the center of OSD screen
  Horizon  western/russian Drop down list to select artificial horizon type (visualization)
  Base direction When checked field shows short line moving around center point as a direction to base. When line  is up it means base is straight ahead. When line is on the right it means base is on the right (from pilot point of view)
  Compass When checked field shows circular compass with current course
  Runway When checked field shows runway location and approach path on radar area
  Pitch scale When checked field shows pitch scale for each 10 degree
  Center mark _|_, -w-, o Drop down list to select center point visualization
  Wind speed When checked field will show measured wind speed (numeric) and direction (location of arrow and  value as wind direction)
Motor amp/power   Field shows current consumption from main battery
  Power (2sec) When checked field will show current (Amp) and power (Watt)  in 2sec/2sec cycle
Motor bat state   Field shows graphical symbol of battery state based on voltage alarm or capacity and discharge
  Only empty When checked field will show only empty battery icon when voltage alarm occur or battery capacity is discharged
  Capacity When checked field shows discharge state based on defined battery capacity instead of battery voltage.
Motor mAh   Field shows main battery discharge or remaining capacity
  Remaining When checked field shows remaining battery capacity
Motor volt   Field shows main battery voltage
  Show state When checked field will show small icon showing battery state based on battery voltage
  Voice alarm When checked OSD will generate voice “ALARM” sound on audio output when battery voltage drops below alarm level
Buddy dist/alt   Field shows location on radar, distande and altitude difference to closest airplane equipped with BuddyFlight radiomodem
  Move on radar When checked numeric altitude/distance field will move on radar next to buddy letter
OSD volt   Field shows OSD (camera, VTx) battery voltage
  Show state When checked field will show small icon showing battery state based on battery voltage
  Voice alarm When checked OSD will generate voice “ALARM” sound on audio output when battery voltage drops below alarm level
Pitch   Field shows airplane pitch in numeric form. Positive numbers up.
Roll   Field shows airplane roll in numeric form. L-roll left, R-roll right
RSSI   Field shows RSSI (RC receiver signal strength).
  Antenna When checked field shows antenna symbol and strips with signal strength
  Numeric When checked field shows signal strength in percents (0-99%)
  Diversity When checked field shows active autopilot’s RC diversity input (A or B)
Satellites   Field shows number of satellites used for navigation
  HDOP When checked field shows also HDOP (horizontal dilution of precision)  from GPS system (see GPS description about HDOP meaning)
Scale left   Field shows left scale for speed
  Fixed When checked scale is fixed (without moving numbers)
Scale right   Field shows right scale for altitude
  Fixed When checked scale is fixed (without moving numbers)
Speed (framed)   Field shows speed (GPS speed over ground or airspeed) and is designed to work with left scale.
  Airspeed When checked field shows airspeed instead of GPS speed over ground
Speed GPS   Field shows GPS speed over ground
Temperature   Field shows temperature from internal sensor (Autopilot’s PCB) or external sensor
  External When checked field shows temperature from external sensor
Timer   Field shows time lapsed since power up
User AI 2 input   Field shows value from analog inpu A2, configured in FPV_manager
Vario  (vertical)   Field shows graphical variometer (vertical speed) in graphical form next to right scale
Vario (numeric)   Field shows variometer in numeric and graph form (for last 16 seconds)
  Graph When checked field shows  variometer graph for last 16 seconds
navigation mode   Field shows current navigation(destination)  mode
RC monitor   Field shows symbolic state of throttle or 4 auxiliary outputs
  Throt When checked field will monitor throttle state
  Aux2 When checked field will monitorAux2 output
  Aux3 When checked field will monitor Aux3 output
  Aux4 When checked field will monitor Aux4 output
  Aux5 When checked field will monitor Aux5 output
  Set… This button allows to define field name, visualisation type and condition. Note that changes in name and visualization are visible only on OSD screen, not on layout designer
  Name In this field user can define 2-letter name of field, e.g FL-for flaps,  LG-for landing gear, Th-for throttle etc.
  Action This combo box allows to select visualization for monitored RC channel
   1. Value Show channel PWM value in microseconds (nominal  1000-2000us)
   2. Percent Show channel PWM value as percent (0-100%)
   3. Arrow down Show arrow down only when condition is met (e.g.  for flaps down)
   4. Arrow up Show arrow up only  when condition is met
   5. Auto up/down Show arrow up when  RC channel is above 1700us and show arrow down when channel is below 1300us
   6. Reversed up/down Show arrow down when RC channel is above 1700us  and arrow up when channel is below 1300us (for reversed RC channel)
   7. Show name Show channel name  when condition is met, otherwise hide it.
   8.White background Show channel name on white background (reversed) when condition is met, otherwise show it on transparent background
   9.bar Show channel PWM value as graphical horizontal bar
  Condition This combo box allows to define when field is visible or changes its state
  1.Always Condition is always met/field is visible/visualization is active
  2.If less than Condition is met only when channel PWM value is less than given threshold
  3. If more than Condition is met only when channel PWM value is greater than given threshold
  4. if no close to Condition is met only when channel PWM value is different than given threshold (more than 10%)
  5. if close to Condition is met only when channel PWM value is close to  given threshold (within 10%)
  PPM (us) This vaule determines PWM  threshold (compare value) for condition  in microseconds (nominal range 1000 to 2000 us)
